First open.
No account, no carousel, no onboarding. Tavy is designed so the first three taps feel like relief.
What should I try first?
If you're stuck right now: tap Press Reset. It takes about a minute and ends with one concrete tiny step. If you have a task that feels too big: tap the mic button and just talk — Brain Sort will find the first place to start.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Tavy works fully without one. You only need to sign in if you choose to enable optional cloud sync across devices (iOS only at launch).
What devices does Tavy run on?
iPhone running iOS 16 or later, and Android phones running Android 12 or later. iPad and Apple Watch support arrive in a later update. Wear OS is planned but unscheduled.
Does Tavy replace therapy or medication?
No. Tavy is a personal organizer and focus tool designed with ADHD-like brains in mind. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
Pay once.
Tavy is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no auto-renew and no "free trial converting to paid."
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Tavy → Settings → Restore purchase. As long as you sign into the App Store / Google Play with the same account that made the purchase, lifetime Pro reactivates immediately.
Does the lifetime price include future updates?
Yes — all current and future v1.x updates are included. If Tavy ever ships a major v2 with substantial new architecture, existing customers receive a deep discount; we will never silently flip you to a subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. For Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history and select the purchase. If the store declines and you believe the request is fair, email us — we'll do what we can.
Does Family Sharing work?
Yes on iOS — Tavy supports Apple Family Sharing, so a single purchase covers up to six family members. On Android, the same is true via Google Play family library.
Are my voice recordings sent to the cloud?
No. Voice transcription runs on-device using the operating system's speech engine. The audio file is stored locally in your Tavy library and is deleted when you delete the capture.
Where does my task text go when I tap Brain Sort?
Only the text you explicitly chose to sort is sent — over an encrypted connection — to an AI provider. The response comes back, and the conversation is not retained for model training. We never send anything else: not your other tasks, not your habit data, not your voice recordings.
Do you have analytics?
Privacy-respecting, aggregate-only crash reporting (no personal identifiers, no contents of your data). You can opt out completely in Settings → Data & Privacy.
How do I delete everything?
In the app: Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete all data. Or use the web deletion request form. Deletion is immediate and unrecoverable.
When it's not working.
Most issues are permission-related on first launch. The rest, write us.
The mic button does nothing.
iOS: Settings → Tavy → Microphone & Speech Recognition both enabled. Android: Settings → Apps → Tavy → Permissions → Microphone → Allow.
Timer doesn't run when the app is closed.
The timer continues in the background and a Live Activity (iOS) or persistent notification (Android) keeps it visible. If notifications are off, the timer still completes but you won't see the countdown outside the app. Enable in Settings → Notifications.
Brain Sort says "Couldn't sort that thought."
Brain Sort needs an internet connection. Check that you're online and try again. If the issue persists, the AI provider may be temporarily overloaded — wait a minute and retry.
The app keeps crashing on launch.
Update to the latest version from the App Store / Play Store. If that doesn't help, restart the device. Still stuck? Email hello@j8n.sk with your device model and OS version — we'll respond within 24h.
